FINANCIAL SERVICES

Next week you will be receiving your first Monthly Student Tuition Statement.

If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to finalize your Financial Plan for this school year. Remember you have three options:

  1. Pay in Full. if you choose this option, your Student Statement will provide you with the amount due for Fall semester, or visit http://sis.corban.edu to access your Student Tuition Account and make payments electronically.
  2. 2. Monthly Payment Plan. Application available at http://go.corban.edu/paymentplan
  3. 3. Pay with additional Loans. More information available at https://inside.corban.edu/financial-aid, or contact the Financial Aid Office: (503) 375-7006 or financialaid@corban.edu.

Tuition accounts not on a Payment Plan, covered in loans or paid in full for the semester,  incur a monthly late fee of 1.5% of the outstanding balance.

SEX IN THE POST-MODERN STORY

Sarah Williams

Sarah C. Williams, DPhil (Oxford), has been invited to campus to speak on “Sex in the Post-Modern Story.” Williams will be speaking in chapel on Monday, September 21st and Wednesday, September 23rd. She will also be speaking Tuesday, September 22, at 7pm at Morning Star Church (4775 27th Ave. SE). Williams offered a quick overview, saying, “I plan to trace the arc of shifting conceptions of sexuality, sexual identity and sexual practice from modernity to post-modernity. I then explore the question, ‘What are the implications of these shifts for society and for individuals?’” For more details click here.

China Symposium

The theme of Corban’s 2nd Annual Leadership and Political Engagement Symposium is “Religious Freedom and the Rule of Law.” Our two distinguished speakers are Liu (Paul) Peng, founder of the Pu Shi Institute of Social Sciences (Beijing) and Rob Gifford, veteran China editor for The Economist (London) and author of the Random House book China Road (New York).

Don’t miss these three VIP events. Students are encouraged to RSVP for Thursday evening’s event, which will feature both speakers, a lively Q&A, and light refreshments.
