A MESSAGE FROM THE PROVOST
This year we are reviving a tradition at Corban University to start the school year: Convocation. During chapel on our first day of school, we will be gathering as an academic community to dedicate our heart and mind to God and to celebrate the privilege of learning at a Christ-centered institution. We have been working with ASB to develop a tradition that will serve as a meaningful way to start the academic year.
I look forward to seeing each of you back on campus as we fulfill our mission: to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
–Dr. Matt Lucas

A NOTE FROM FINANCIAL SERVICES
Just three weeks until Fall Semester begins! If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to finalize your Financial Plan for this school year. Remember you have three options:
1. Pay in Full. Fall tuition is due TOMORROW, August 6, if you choose this option. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get your accurate balance. You can pay over the phone at (503) 375-7030, in person, or online at sis.corban.edu.
2. Monthly Payment Plan. Application available at https://store.corban.edu/business-office/payment-plan-application.
3. Pay with Loans. More information available at http://www.corban.edu/financial-aid or contact the Financial Aid Office: (503) 375-7006 or email@example.com.
Helpful Hint: The textbook prices posted online at sis.corban.edu are not necessarily the Bookstore prices. We have posted a general high and low range price using an online textbook search engine to help with your financial planning. As demand changes, those prices will also change, as will the availability. Be smart: compare prices and shop early!
NEW SIDEWALKS IN FRONT OF THE LIBRARY
The sidewalks and stairs are complete! Don’t they look great? We’re appreciating the lack of construction noise on campus now, too
While you’ve been gone, a new generation of students has been taking advantage of some fun opportunities on the Corban campus this summer.
155 Christian teens attended a week-long Worldview Academy camp that taught them how to share their faith and what it means to be a Christian in today’s secular society. During the week, students participated in lectures, small group discussions, street ministry in downtown Salem, and plenty of free-time Frisbee games.
Corban’s annual Destinations! Theater Camp trained aspiring young actors in the arts of performance and drama. They ended the camp with showcase performances of short plays in the Psalm Center.
Prospective students toured campus and met with Admissions Counselors as part of the Oregon Private College Week. The event gives students an opportunity to compare a variety of campuses as they prepare to make their college selection.
Warrior Summer Sports Camps taught young athletes about teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun while they built foundational skills in their sport. Camps were held for basketball and volleyball. Corban also hosted a Timbers Youth Soccer Camp, with professional soccer players sharing their skills with kids from ages 5-15.
