RESCHEDULING A FINAL
Finals week is April 27 – 30, 2015!

Students are required to take their finals at the scheduled times.  In no case should a student plan to leave campus prior to the end of his/her last examination.  The Final Exam Schedule is found online on the Registrar’s page: https://inside.corban.edu/calendars/final-examinations  If you need to reschedule a final exam please stop by the Registrar’s Office for approval.

Finals must be taken during the time specified and may only be rescheduled for the following reasons:

  • Two exams are scheduled during same hour.
  • Four or more exams are scheduled on the same day.
  • Student has a documented disability.
  • Student has a documented emergency. (Student is ill or has death in his/her family)

COME DANCE WITH US!!!

We will once again be having a dance on the last day of Ballroom class (Wednesday April 22nd at noon in the gym). THere will be instruction and short lessons in Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep and Lindy during this time for anyone who is interested. Everyone is invited students, faculty, staff are all welcome to come have fun and get a good workout in in the process!

We suggest that you eat dinner beforehand, but we will be providing hors d’oeurves and dessert at the event. Take this time to connect and share memories together with your fellow seniors one last time! Hope to see you there!

SUMMER TOWNHOUSE RENTAL

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Salem for the summer, Student Life is now offering a limited number of townhouse rentals. The monthly rent payment covers all utilities and internet usage. Housing will be available from May 4th through the end of July.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL/CEREMONY:

Graduation rehearsal will be Saturday, May 2nd at 12:15 p.m. in the Salem Armory Auditorium. All students who are participating in graduation need to be in their cap and gown and in their assigned seat in the auditorium at that time.

An e-mail will be sent one week prior to the event with your assigned seat/walking order.

Rehearsal will last approximately 1/2 hour.  *Food is not available to purchase onsite, so please plan accordingly.

This is a ticketed event and doors will open for guests at 1:00 p.m. and the Graduation ceremony will begin at 2:00.

Corban University celebrates the graduating class of 2015, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Armory Auditorium.

If you would like to serve as a greeter, usher or ticket taker we need you!   To sign up today just stop by the Registrar’s Office or e-mail Sandy Clouser at sclouser@corban.edu.

CAP AND GOWN: If you missed Grad Finale and were unable to pick up your cap and gown, please stop by the Registrar’s Office today.

GRADUATION APPLICATIONS 2016 DUE FRIDAY, APRIL 17th: If you are graduating in December 2015 or May 2016, stop by the Registrar’s Office to pick up your application.

Applications and application fee are due back in the Registrar’s Office by Friday, April 17th.

SUMMER ONLINE COURSES

The following courses will be offered online summer semester 2015:

  • TH233: Biblical Worldview w/Dr. Kent Kersey, 3 credits, June 15th – July 17th

  • BI432EO: NT Book Study, Ephesians w/Dr. Gary Derickson, 3 credits, July 20th – August 20th

*Cost per credit hour: $335.  Pick up a course registration form in the Registrar’s Office.

Tuition must be paid to the Corban University Business Office at the time of registration.

FOR FALL SEMESTER 2015 CLASSES:  Please take time to set up an appointment with your advisor prior to the start of registration.  All students are to meet with their advisor, go over the courses you are to register for and then receive a registration code.

Registration dates are as follows:

  • Juniors to be seniors & seniors: Monday, March 30, 2015   *Graduating seniors are to register for both fall and spring semester classes.
  • Sophomores to be juniors: Monday, April 6th
  • Freshman to be sophomores: Monday, April 13th

*You must have already completed the following number of credit hours to be considered a: Senior: 93+, Junior: 62- 92, Sophomore: 31 – 61, Freshman: 0 – 30.

Choirs Concert: Music Around The World
Featuring the Corban University Concert and Chamber Choirs

This concert brings together sacred and secular music from around the globe. Works will include pieces from Russia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and many others, from composers such as Basler, Rachmaninoff, Handel, and more!

Band and Orchestra Concert:

Featuring the Corban University Chamber Orchestra and Concert Band

Doors open at 7pm

The Chamber Orchestra and Concert Band will perform musical masterworks from centuries past, as well as contemporary favorites. The program will include composers from Europe, South and Central America, and the United States.

CORBAN ATHLETICS

Men’s Golf: Kade Crossland captured the individual title for the Warrior men at the NCU Invite, leading the team to a third-place finish.

Women’s Golf: Brooke Spencer won the individual title for the Warrior women at the NCU Invite, leading the team to a third-place finish.

GOLF: The Corban University golf teams travel north to the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course next Monday and Tuesday for the CCC Championships, looking to earn a berth to the NAIA Championships.

Softball: Corban hosts Northwest University on Friday at 2pm and then Concordia University on Saturday at 11 a.m. Saturday is also Senior Day, so be sure to come out to Warrior Field and support the Warriors!

Baseball: The Warriors head north to Canada this weekend to take on the University of British Columbia in a four-game series.

Track and Field: The Corban track and field teams compete at the Oregon Relay Meet on Saturday at Hayward Field as well as at the Lewis & Clark Invite on Saturday.
