SUMMER MISSION TRIPS
Dominican Republic (May 12th – 19th)

Siguatepeque, Honduras (May 12th – 26th)
The Honduras S.O.S team—Emma Felzien, adjunct professor and team leader; and students Zane West, Alexandria Coleman, Marissa Raibley and Lana Waltosz—met up with Tim Blycker. The 6 of them served with two missionary families, volunteering in classrooms, after school programs, and churches. They built relationships with people in the city and shared the gospel in love.
Bamenda, Cameroon, Africa (May 14th – 30th)
Dr. Allen Jones and his wife Mandy, Emily Anderson, and Micah Ropp traveled to Cameroon in Africa, to continue their work of ministry. During their visit, the team was engaged in leading children’s and youth ministry, leading Bible studies, conducting street evangelism with church planters and serving at a hospital.
Cameroon Baptist Convention, Cameroon, Africa (May 14th – 30th)
Dr. Greg Trull taught the final class for the first-ever Corban cohort in Cameroon. He also met with leaders of three denominations to form a second training cohort for the pastors’ training school.
Czech Republic (May 26th – June 10th)
Dr. Annette Harrison and a team of four students served the Lord in an area just north of Prague that is considered an “evangelical desert.” The team’s activities were designed to attract attention and to introduce people to evangelical Christians and church fellowship.
Cuba (June 1st – 9th)
The baseball team arrived in Cuba June 1st, on a one-of-a-kind mission trip. The Corban Warriors are the first-ever collegiate baseball team to travel to Cuba on a mission trip with the intent of sharing the gospel while playing the sport of baseball as well.
CORBAN COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Corban University Community Garden is in its first full season of production! If you would like to get involved with the Corban Community Garden this summer, ccome join our weekly work projects (contact Ben Pearson; bpearson@corban.edu)!
- Tuesdays 8:00am-10:00am
- Wednesdays 5:00pm -7:00pm
Students have been instrumental in the inception, design, and programming of the garden. It is designed as a place for students to learn organic gardening methods, inspire curiosity, foster community, and tangibly serve the Salem community by learning about the importance of healthy and beneficial food systems. A majority of the produce grown is planned for donation to Marion Polk Food Share. The garden is located on the grassy berm between the townhouses and baseball field.
