The Pathway to English program has been in full swing this summer.<\/p>\n

In between soccer games, cultural trips and summer fun, Pathway students study full-time at the Corban University campus.\u00a0 Courses run all year.<\/p>\n

Pathway, an intensive English language program, helps\u00a0international Christian students\u00a0develop meaningful language and cultural skills for success in university, in the workforce, and in the world.\u00a0\u00a0Test preparation,\u00a0teaching, tutoring and technology help students get there.<\/p>\n

TOEFL Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n

TOEFL tests help students see their progress in English language learning.\u00a0 The Pathway program “has already improved my English”, noted one student who began in January 2016. “When [came]\u00a0I here, I didn’t know what to do, but now I can speak English.”<\/p>\n

Teaching<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pathway offers English training from native speakers of English.\u00a0 Students get ready for the TOEFL with courses in Academic Reading, Academic Writing, Listening & Speaking, and Grammar & Conventions.<\/p>\n

Each Pathway student spends one to two hours per week with an English\u00a0tutor.\u00a0\u00a0 “I like my tutor because I like the way she teaches” reported one Pathway student.\u00a0 Tutoring also helps international students build relationships with national students.<\/p>\n
